Waitlist privacy notice

What the waitlist does

CherryPicked uses the waitlist to share launch news and information about possible Founding Member access. Joining does not create a product account, Business affiliation, membership or entitlement, and does not guarantee access or benefits.

Information we collect

We collect your email address, optional first name, consent version and acceptance time, and a coarse signup-source code. Short-lived rate-limit digests help prevent abuse without storing your raw IP address in the waitlist database. Hosting and security providers may process network information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the service.

How we use it

We use this information to operate and secure the waitlist, send launch and possible Founding Member updates, handle withdrawal requests, and produce aggregate operational reports. Email delivery events help us identify failed deliveries. Joining does not require a confirmation email.

Service providers and access

Our hosting, managed database and email providers help deliver these functions. Access to identifiable waitlist exports is restricted to assigned administrators and audited. Operational summaries contain counts rather than email addresses or names. Please do not send passwords, payment information or other sensitive information through the waitlist.

Withdrawal and retention

You can request an expiring, single-use withdrawal link by email. Completing withdrawal removes the entry from active communication lists immediately. Our retention policy is to remove direct identifiers after 90 days in the withdrawn state. Entries with consent older than 12 months are flagged for review; this is not an automatic renewal of consent or a promise of indefinite storage.

Minimal records of consent, withdrawal and retention actions are kept to support operation and accountability. Provider logs and backups follow their separate retention processes; removal from the active waitlist does not instantly erase every backup copy.

Changes

We may update this notice when the holding experience changes. A broader communication purpose requires new consent rather than silently expanding your existing signup.

First-party measurement

We measure page visits, waitlist-button interactions, submission attempts and confirmed signups. A random identifier lasts only for the loaded page; we do not store it in cookies or browser storage or use it to identify a person across visits. Our analytics stores an opaque digest and fixed event names, not signup names, email addresses, raw IP addresses, authentication material or free text. Refreshes may count again. Reports describe page visits, not unique people; blocked measurement and very short visits are not counted.
